AULLA’s 2022 conference will be held on beautiful Larrakia country in Darwin city. There is a public bus stop in front of the Waterfront Campus and the campus is only a short walk from Darwin’s main streets. Keynotes, programmed meetings, and seminars are scheduled for level 5 of the building, while conference papers will be held on level 3.
If joining the conference in person, there are a number of options to stay while in Darwin. The closest motels to the Waterfront Campus are the Vibe Hotel Darwin Waterfront or the Hilton on Mitchell Street.

AULLA’s conference dinner will be held at national award winning restaurant and cocktail bar ‘Charlies of Darwin’. Hidden entry to the restaurant is on Austin Lane through the roller door and up the stairs or you can use the lift. ‘Charlie’s’ makes local gin from uniquely Territory ingredients and serves a delicious choice menu for only $60.00 per person. The menu includes vegetarian and gluten free options and you can view the sample menu below. Drinks are not included in the price and must be paid separately at your own cost per table.
Darwin is unique for its picturesque sunsets and there are a number of places to enjoy the top end’s tropical atmosphere. Grab a drink at the Ski Club or a laksa from the Mindil Beach Markets. The Super Cars will be held at the Hidden Valley from 17-19 June. And the NT Pride March is set for the following weekend.
